Summer camp at HKUST(GZ) sparks global youth dialogue

The 2025 PLACE (Playshop for Language and Cultural Exchange) Summer Camp at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) has served as a key platform for global youth dialogue and cultural exchange.
Initiated by HKUST(GZ) in 2024, this year's summer camp has seen over 600 participants from overseas and across China, twice the amount compared to last year.
Professor Lionel Ni, president of HKUST(GZ), highlighted that the camp encourages students to transcend geographical and disciplinary boundaries, fostering collaboration and exploration to broaden their perspectives and drive international cooperation.
Over the next two weeks, participants will be immersed in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, exploring language, culture, sports, and technology to enhance their global outlook and cross-cultural communication skills.
