快車(chē)，專(zhuān)車(chē)，順風(fēng)車(chē)......突然間，好像打車(chē)出行的人多了很多選擇。有些私家車(chē)主在自己有空或者順路的情況下，會(huì)通過(guò)一些平臺(tái)接單拉活，這樣的車(chē)主有個(gè)很直白的名字owner-driver。

With ride-sharing apps Uber and Lyft becoming more and more popular, it’s probably not a surprise to see the term owner-driver – which refers to a person who owns the vehicle that they operate for their job – on the rise.
Uber和Lyft這樣的搭乘應(yīng)用程序越發(fā)普及，諸如owner-driver（車(chē)主司機(jī)）這樣的說(shuō)法越來(lái)越多也就不奇怪了，這個(gè)詞指“以開(kāi)自己的車(chē)為業(yè)的人”。

Owner-driver既是車(chē)的owner，同時(shí)還是駕車(chē)賺錢(qián)的driver，是不是很直白呢？

For example:

He quitted his job as a security guard last month and bought a second-hand car, now he is an owner-driver, making over 500 yuan a day.
