Chinese provider of 3D vision sensors, AIoT solutions posts record earnings
Orbbec, a domestic major provider of 3D vision sensors and AIoT solutions, posted record earnings for the first three quarters of 2025, buoyed by soaring demand from the robotics and intelligent device sectors.
Revenue surged 103.5 percent year-on-year to 714 million yuan ($98 million), while net profit reached 108 million yuan. Excluding nonrecurring items, adjusted net profit stood at 68.6 million yuan — both figures marking a turnaround from losses a year earlier.
Biometric identification and AIoT applications have become Orbbec’s primary growth engines. As robotics technology matures and intelligent automation drives demand for advanced vision sensors, the company said its domestic robotics revenue nearly doubled in the first half of the year.
The Chinese company’s international performance has also been intensified through wider employment scheme. According to a recent report by industry research firm Interact Analysis, Orbbec ranks first in South Korea’s 3D vision market for commercial and industrial mobile robots, holding an estimated 72 percent market share.
