With eyes toward shared development, Mayor's forum kicks off in Zhengzhou

The Global Mayors Dialogue Zhengzhou & 2025 International Mayor's Forum on Tourism kicked off in Zhengzhou, capital city of Henan province on Wednesday.
The four-day event will run from Wednesday to Saturday, bringing together about 300 participants, including mayors from sister cities and tourist destinations, diplomats, scholars and travel industry representatives.
Aiming to create a platform for high-level dialogue and shared development, the event has attracted mayors and experts from across China and overseas to analyze urban issues, discuss viable solutions, and promote the sustainable development of global tourism.
The theme of this year's forum is "Preserving the Cultural Legacy of Ancient Capitals and Driving Urban Renewal", which aims to balance cultural preservation and urban development.
The event includes an opening ceremony, thematic dialogues and site visits.
The Global Mayors Dialogue has already been held in cities such as Hangzhou, Shanghai and Dunhuang. By bringing together city leaders to share best practices, the event will build international trust and mutual understanding between countries and cities.
