Yiwu, a county-level city in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, launched a new global expansion strategy for its Yiwu Market Project on Oct 16. Partners from over 10 countries and regions, alongside representatives from Yiwu's global expansion enterprises, attended.
Yiwu has established 62 overseas projects in 29 countries and regions, including sub-markets, warehouses, and exhibition halls, since the launch of the Yiwu Market Project two years ago.
The event introduced the new strategy, outlining a development framework that includes an overseas headquarters, five expansion modes, two types of service providers, and more global partners. Zhejiang China Commodities City Group aims to collaborate with high-quality enterprises worldwide to explore diverse export channels.
Three key projects were signed on the FBC (Fulfilled by Cdiscount platform) Overseas Warehouse, the Melbourne Sub-Market, and the Moscow Sub-Market. These will focus on Eurasia, Oceania, and global logistics to enhance Yiwu's overseas network.
This year, the Yiwu Selection brand export collection store opened in Kenya in August. Sub-markets were expanded to Melbourne and Moscow following the first sub-market opening in Osaka, Japan, in June. These developments represent innovative achievements in the global expansion strategy.
"The exploration of every new path is to make global expansion more efficient, precise, and competitive," said Yang Yang, deputy general manager of the CCC Group.
