The Southern Night Market at 1969 Creative Workshop in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, the largest indoor night market in the Yangtze River Delta region, is scheduled to debut during the National Day holiday.
The night market preparations are nearly complete. Local vendor Yang Shengqing is ready with hometown flavors like Yulan cake, egg pancake, and osmanthus-flavored taro.
In addition, a variety of foods from across the country will also be featured, with over 100 food stalls from various regions of China already signed up.
Vendor Hu Xiaofen and her family from Harbin offer Wuxi residents and tourists Northeastern specialties like barbecue, grilled cold noodles, and grilled oysters.
The roads surrounding the night market have been completely renovated, with 1,000 parking spaces ready for use. During the National Day holiday, there will be special discounts, with 20 percent off on all purchases from Oct 1 to 8.
