Pearls shine at Beijing fashion festival

A fashion show of the 8th Beijing Hongqiao International Pearl Culture Festival was held in Beijing on Wednesday, bringing together experts, jewelry designers, intangible cultural heritage inheritors, and fashion pioneers for a celebration of pearls.
As the music began, models dressed in elegant attire showcased over a dozen looks created by domestic fashion and jewelry designers. The collection masterfully blended pearls with silk and traditional craftsmanship, while the jewelry itself struck a balance between classical elegance and modern simplicity.
According to Ye Zhibin, head of the Gems and Jewelry Trade Association of China, the country's gold and jewelry industry is entering a new phase of development. Consumption upgrades are driving market expansion, and the "China-chic" trend is providing unprecedented opportunities for jewelry such as pearls.
