Currently, Taicang's collaboration with Germany is expanding beyond industry into fields such as science, education, culture, sports and public welfare.
The city has introduced German bakeries, Sino-German friendship kindergartens, German restaurants, and hotels, and has hosted Sino-German table tennis tournaments, marathon friendship races, and artist salons.
These rich German elements have attracted more Germans to settle in Taicang.
