The revised "Measures to Encourage and Support Entrepreneurship and Employment of Taiwan Youth in Xiamen Free Trade Zone" was officially released in March. Currently, there are 12 entrepreneurship and employment bases for Taiwan youth operating in Xiamen FTZ.

The measures provide comprehensive assistance for Taiwan youth and enterprises in Xiamen, including startup workspace support, individual housing subsidies, as well as internship and employment grants, while also enhancing entrepreneurial capabilities by promoting the market-oriented development of Taiwan youth incubation bases.

The measures have established a quantified evaluation system tailored to Xiamen FTZ's real-world conditions. This system assesses performance across 10 indicators including: the number of Taiwan youth and enterprises, annual activities organized by incubation bases, training participation numbers, and annual revenue of base enterprises. 

Based on evaluation scores, qualifying bases and enterprises will receive incentives ranging from 500,000 to 1 million yuan ($69,705 to 139,410).

The Xiamen FTZ encourages incubation bases to develop self-sustaining capabilities and enhance market viability by prioritizing the attraction of upstream and downstream enterprises, thereby creating industrial cluster effects.

Additionally, Xiamen FTZ has established a Taiwan business development service center and launched the distinctive "cross-Strait single window" service brand. This initiative creates a one-stop integrated service platform, providing comprehensive policy services, coordinating solutions for issues faced by Taiwan businesses, and facilitating access to specialized services such as crew training for the people of Taiwan.
