Beijing to host the China International Friendship Conference

The China International Friendship Conference and the events marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries will be held in Beijing on Friday.
The theme of these events will focus on friendship, highlighting the deepening sub-national friendship between China and foreign countries and promoting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind, the CPAFFC said in a statement on Wednesday.
The heads of organizations dedicated to friendship with China and friendly figures from all over the world will be invited to attend the conference and related events.
Founded in 1954, the CPAFFC is a national people's organization of China dedicated to people-to-people diplomacy.
Its mission is to enhance people's friendship, promote international cooperation, safeguard world peace and facilitate common development.
The CPAFFC is headquartered in Beijing, with local friendship associations established across provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, cities, districts and counties throughout China.
