Defense minister to visit Singapore

State Councilor and Minister of National Defense Li Shangfu will attend the Shangri-La Dialogue and visit Singapore from Wednesday to Sunday, the Defense Ministry announced on Monday.
During the conference, Li will deliver a speech on China's new security initiative and meet with the heads of some delegations, Tan Kefei, spokesman of the ministry said. During the visit to Singapore, Li will hold meetings and talks with leaders of the nation's government and its defense ministry.
The Shangri-La Dialogue is scheduled from Friday to Sunday.
