Senior CPC official stresses role of legal workers in advancing law-based governance

BEIJING - Wang Chen, a senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official and head of the China Law Society, on Friday called on legal workers to better perform their duties in comprehensively advancing law-based governance.
Wang, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, asked legal workers to remain true to their mission in a speech delivered at a forum held by the China Law Society in Beijing.
He called on China's legal workers to make new contributions to promoting the country's legal research, developing Chinese socialist rule of law theory, meeting people's demands regarding legal affairs and building a system of socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics.
