Foreign journalists on Monday praised China's achievements in the past 70 years after taking a tour of an exhibition marking the National Day celebration at the Beijing Exhibition Center.
A total of 181 journalists from 126 domestic and foreign media outlets gathered by invitation in Beijing on Monday, one day ahead of the National Day celebration, to see the display, which covers over 155,000 square meters.
The exhibition is divided into five sections and reflects the practices, achievements and experience in all walks of life, including science and technology, culture, military, education, and diplomatic relations, as well as the legal system.
Francis Pelenah from the Liberia Broadcasting System said that the exhibition is a "clear demonstration that China as a country has a lot of respect for history".
