Winter swimming event kicks off in Harbin

The 19th Harbin International Winter Swimming Invitational Tournament kicked off on Saturday in Harbin, capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang province.
The two-day event attracted about 300 contestants from China, Belarus, Russia, and the United States, though it was as cold as ?20 C on opening day.
Considered one of the country's richest ice and snow resources, Harbin enjoys perfect conditions for winter swimmers from across the world.
