Directors to make documentaries on China's reform, opening-up

BEIJING -- Thirty renowned directors from China and abroad will be invited to visit parts of the country and make documentaries on its 40 years of reform and opening-up.
The event, which will be initiated in Beijing on Thursday, is hosted by the State Council Information Office and undertaken by Chinese-language online search engine Chinaso.com.
In the next two months, directors will travel to areas including Shenzhen, Shanghai and Xiamen, and creat documentaries and other video products to show remarkable changes China has witnessed in the past four decades.
A seminar will also be held on Thursday to discuss topics including telling stories about China's reform and opening-up.
